Once a cleaner at a teahouse, she now works at the church café, and sews bags after hours to help support her family. Baptized in 2016.

Little Choo once lived on the streets and couldn't bear noise — a bomb that could go off at any moment. Years of companionship finally brought a breakthrough: she became willing to see a doctor, willing to let people close.

“My heart is so bitter, I can't put it into words.”

In her seventies, she may be the oldest sex worker in Wanhua. The wounds of being sent away as a child bride and rejected by her mother are, little by little, being comforted in God's love.

“I just follow Jesus — wherever He leads, I go.”

Years ago a bus ran over her foot, leaving her with limited mobility, living alone. She used to speak only of life's hardships — now she says: I follow Jesus.

“Abba Father takes care of us. He asks nothing in return, only that we give Him our hearts.”

She changed careers to become a cleaner, and in one accident, cried out to her Heavenly Father. Now she's used to the labor, enjoys cleaning, and says with a smile: I live quite freely.
